Summit Hilltopper Hockey– 2022/23

Families, friends, alums, and classmates - we are seeking to raise funds for the Summit Ice Hockey Association for the upcoming season. Summit Hilltopper hockey is one of the most successful programs in New Jersey. The boys’ varsity team won 3 straight state championship titles (2018, 2019, and 2020), and the girls’ varsity team played in the first-ever state final in 2020 and was declared Co-State Champions in 2021 after an undefeated regular season and advancing to the state finals for the second consecutive year.

The Program embraces 30+ girls and 30+ boys assisted by talented coaches who stress core values of respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork – all of which are important life skills towards the development of young men and women. But it comes at a cost; hockey is an expensive sport and we really need the community’s backing in this GoFundMe campaign.

Summit Hockey is funded in large part by player fees and donations and, currently, only about 1/3 of the annual budget is covered by School District Funding to the hockey program. There are numerous expenses that need to be covered to fund our four teams- Boys Varsity and JV and Girls Varsity and JV.

Ice time: Almost 1/3 of our budget, and prices for a sheet of ice continue to rise.

Transportation: We bus our players to many of the practices and games.

Coach Salaries: The school district funding only covers some of our great coaches.

This year a majority of our funding will come from this GoFundMe campaign, and we cannot achieve our goal without your support. Please support the boys and girls program with a donation for this season.

Also, please Save the Date of Sat, Oct. 22nd for our Summit Hockey Parent Social at the Lowry/Redmerski home. This GoFundMe campaign is our primary fundraiser and the cocktail party will not have the traditional silent auctions this year. Come on out and meet the coaches, parents and alumni on the 22nd.
