Lindsay Merget,  an inspirational woman, friend, Equine
Therapeutic Riding Instructor at Equi-Ed Therapeutic Riding Center and the Managing Director at Sunrise Horse Rescue has dealt with a lot of adversity over the past 36 hours.  The Tubbs Fire in Santa Rosa, CA roared through her neighborhood decimating her home and many others.  Even with this devastation, her main focus and energy is the safety of all 20 rescue horses at the Sunrise Horse Rescue Facility in Napa county. Lindsay and her team are also assisting other ranches as they are forced to evacuate.

Sunrise Horse Rescue facility has been greatly affected by the Tubbs Fire as the winds ripped apart most of their pipe panel shelter.  

Your donation will go directly into the Emergency Response Bank Account where all donations will be kept separately for exclusive use in rebuilding the Sunrise Horse Rescue Facility and the greater horse community in Napa and Sonoma counties.  Any donation would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you!

Sunrise Horse Rescue, a non-profit horse rescue and sanctuary, is moving to a new temporary location. We will be relocating to Tamber Bey Vineyard's Sundance Ranch in Calistoga while we search for a permanent home.

Our 21 rescue horses need to be transported, and all of our barns and other structures must be disassembled, moved and reconstructed by the end of June 2016. The horses will be moved to their new temporary home by May 1, 2016.  This GoFundMe campaign will help us cover our moving costs as well as the increased expenses associated with operating at the new location.

We are committed to providing the best care possible for these beautiful animals, and we need the community's help to make this transition to a new location. The horses, volunteers and staff of Sunrise Horse Rescue will be sincerely grateful for your donation.

                        Baby Finn needs your help!

In 2013, we rescued a young Arabian colt from neglect and named him Finn. (you can learn more about Finn's story here)

When we we brought Finn to the sanctuary, we didn't know he was blind in one eye but it soon became apparent that he had no vision on his left side. That sure didn't stop him from enjoying life to the fullest!


Unfortunately, Finn's bad eye has developed glaucoma. This is severely painful and the only thing we can do to help him is to have the eye surgically removed.

Little Finn will be going up to the UC Davis Veterinary Hospital to have his surgery and we need your help to offset the costs of this necessary procedure.
