We raising money to benefit those in need in the region of Penonomé, and any donation will help make an impact.
Surgical Volunteers International and our partner, the Prescribing Life Foundation, plan to continue offering free specialty surgical and health care to the underserved and less privileged communities of the world. The next mission is to return to Penonomé, the capital city of Coclé, Panama.
This mission is coordinated through the assistance of the Panamanian Ministry of Health, local Lions' Clubs in Panama, Hospital Aquilino Tejeira and the regional health administration of Coclé.
The team will perform surgical procedures to correct congenital and acquired deformities of the head and neck, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary tracts and plastic surgical correction of soft tissue lesions and hand anomalies. In addition, there will be attention to treating patients with chronic pain disorders, renal conditions, and prenatal screening. This will be our second trip to this location.
