Tapestry of Community Offerings NFP

Hello Friends! Please do not skip this one minute read! With the recent downturn of the economy, the TOCO Shop (primary funding source of our nonprofit) has become at risk of shuttering. Closing our doors would be detrimental to our community, as Tapestry of Community Offerings (TOCO) not only provides for the basic needs to support the survival of those in crisis, but also offers the guidance and support that empowers them to overcome their hardship and/or transition into permanent housing. That’s right! Together with our community partners, TOCO has helped guide the placement and retention of 13 program participants into their own homes with little to no funding at all, and this has come at a great cost to our organization.

For only the fourth time in 40 years, charitable giving has been down year over year to the detriment of many nonprofits in the area. This year, we are asking you to take part in saving our tiny little grassroots nonprofit with your end of year tax deductible donation. Our Community needs YOU, and together we WILL transform the landscape of our Community!!!

About TOCO Shop

Since 2001, TOCO has been a beacon of hope for countless individuals and families in need, thanks to the support of compassionate donors like you. Our unique concept, the "Textile Pantry," offers clothing, shoes, housewares, and toiletries to those who need them most, while keeping tons of textiles out of landfills and promoting a more sustainable way of life. 

Furthermore, our organization is  almost completely volunteer based. This allows proceeds from donations and shop sales to be allocated directly to our program participants, maximizing the impact of your donations!!

Empowerment Programs

At TOCO, we believe in creating lasting change. In addition to the Textile Pantry, we are developing new empowerment programs to address the root causes of challenges faced by our community members. Our Homelessness Assistance Programs (HAP) Drop-in Center provides crucial support services, helping individuals overcome hardships and transition into permanent housing.

The Funding Challenge

As a small grassroots nonprofit, funding is a significant challenge for us. We don't qualify for state or federal contracts, which limits our potential to reach more people and expand our empowerment programs. But with your help, we can make an even bigger difference.
