Help Keep a Roof on Our Heads

Temple Sholom of Flatbush is one of the last Conservative synagogues in South Brooklyn. We are a vibrant temple that has served the community for more than 60 years, from children to the elderly, with a variety of programs. It truly is a second home for its members.

We have been holding our own financially but were recently forced to undergo the most expensive capital improvement in the temple’s history, as our entire roof and parapet needed to be replaced due to repeated leaks into our sanctuary and other areas. This project, which was entirely unanticipated, cost well over $1,000,000. We were able to fund most of the costs ourselves through various means; however, we are faced with a shortfall of $165,000 that must be paid, and we are looking for people near and far to do a “mitzvah” by helping us with donations of any size. Your small donation can make a huge difference.

All money raised will go directly to pay for the balance of the roof repairs.
