Pasadena Boys and Girls Club
Over the last 8 years, the Pasadena Blazers Basketball Club has had a partnership with both Branches of the Pasadena Boys and Girls Club. For several years, I have personally seen the positive effect the staff and programs at the Boys and Girls clubs have had on our local youth. Some of the alumni have become leaders in the community in so many different aspects such as business, education, and politics.
This holiday season the Blazers are dedicated to fundraising for the 2017 Annual Holiday Toy Drive, which will also include sports equipment like Basketballs, Soccer Balls, Volleyballs, etc.
Director Sid Cooke along with Coaches Rich Kitagawa, Ron Mosley, Rafael Camacho and Jeff Johnson are asking for your help for such a worthy cause. All of the proceeds will go directly to Pasadena Boys and Girls Clubs.

Help Pasadena Kids Thrive During the Pandemic
The COVID-19 Pandemic has hit everyone hard. Almost two years after the start of the pandemic, we are seeing the true toll it has had on youth. Ranging from learning loss to increased mental health issues to lack of social stimulation, pandemic recovery has become the urgent, dedicated focus of the Boys & Girls Club of Pasadena.

Here is what we are doing during our after-school programs this school year to meet this once-in-a-generation need for kids in our community:

Offer every Club member academic support, including tutoring weekly for kids in need. Over 30 tutors have provided thousands of minutes tutoring Club members since the pandemic began.

Pair every middle school and teen member with a mentor, who checks in with them daily and provides critical emotional and mental health supports.

Offer a safe, hands-on space for kids to discover, play, and explore, like by climbing our rock wall and making fun and messy art.

You can make a difference and ensure that Pasadena-area youth have access to our life-changing programs. No matter the amount, your donation will make a difference and help kids and youth recover from the pandemic that has affected every part of their lives.

Funds will be used for high-impact academic programs, including tutoring, and for emotional and mental health supports for all members.

Some of our younger members participating in their first Meta-Movement activity. Meta-Movement encourages members to get in touch with their emotions, allowing them to process what they feel throughout the day, and learn how to manage tough and scary feelings.
