For 131 years, The Cavalier Daily has served as the first draft of history for the University of Virginia and Charlottesville communities. As we now navigate college life during a global health pandemic, it is more important than ever for us to stay connected, listen to each other’s stories and hold our leaders accountable – but we need your help.
Facing a severe loss in funding and advertising revenue due to the pandemic, The Cavalier Daily has joined forces with Virginia Tech's Collegiate Times to print a special Rivalry Edition and to see which program can raise the most money between now and Dec. 12 (the date of the UVA-VT football game).
As an independent, non-profit student newsroom that receives no money from the University, we rely on contributions from readers like you. Join us in our mission of providing local news and creating opportunities for the next generation of journalists, while helping us beat our rivals at Virginia Tech!
