The Dark Youth Center Inc (Reaching Out From The Dark)

Youth Making Changes Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering disadvantaged youth and those who have aged out of foster care, primarily focusing on individuals aged 12 to 25. We offer essential services, including life skills training, mentorship programs, and violence prevention education, all aimed at supporting young people in making positive life choices.

As part of our mission, we have produced a powerful documentary film that features men sharing their personal experiences of what prison was like for them. Through these firsthand accounts, the film seeks to shed light on the harsh realities of incarceration and the consequences of violence, aiming to deter youth from making choices that could lead them down a similar path. By presenting these stories, we hope to provide valuable insights and foster meaningful discussions about the importance of making informed decisions.

To bring this impactful project to life, we are currently fundraising to cover the costs associated with the film’s production, including compensating our cast and crew, acquiring necessary supplies, and organizing community screening events.
