The Ellie Fund

For those that know me well I have always been a runner at heart. This year I decided that I was going to cross something off of my bucket list and run the Twin Lobster Half Marathon in Gloucester. I have had an amazing time training with an incredible group of women.
As is true with many of us, breast cancer has touched my life in a number of ways and most recently a very close friend of mine has been battling the disease and I am so grateful to say she is winning the battle. On Sunday 6/7, as I run my 13.1 miles I will be thinking of her and they others that have been touched by the disease.  As I think of my physical struggle I know it is much easier than what they face each day. 
Ellie's Fund is a unique organization that provides essential support for breast cancer patients to ease the stresses of every day life allowing the focus to be on family, recovery and healing.
Please donate to support these amazing women as the struggle to regain their health, perhaps manage a busy family and maybe even their career and find that their burden is just a little bit lighter.

The 19th Annual FTC Cup is dedicated to our dear friend and colleague Thanda and her fight with cancer. The fee this year is waived and instead we are asking everyone to make a contribution to the Ellie Fund.

The Ellie Fund provides assistance to breast cancer patients residing in and/or receiving treatment in Massachusetts. Through our Healing Together Patient and Family Care Program and Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Program, we provide critical support services free of charge to help relieve a breast cancer patient’s burden while in treatment. Services include:

• Grocery Assistance
• Transportation
• Housekeeping
• Childcare Reimbursement
• Nutritious & Prepared Meals
• Integrative Therapy Services (including acupuncture and oncology massage) for metastatic patients
