Blaise’s Eagle Project for The Green Angels’ New Shed
My name is Blaise Weidmann, and I’m a Life Scout in Troop 31 of Rochester. I have been in Boy Scouts for 6 years and I am working towards the Eagle Rank. I have been serving with The Green Angels for years. I have helped by cleaning and organizing items for families in need as well as shopping and delivering requested items. The last time I helped out there, I noticed their need for a new shed to store bicycles and other outdoor toys. For my Eagle project, I will be building a 12’x12’ gable shed to replace the old, decrepit shed. I am building this shed for The Green Angels to help the Wayne County community so that children and families in need can have toys and bicycles.

About The Green Angels

The Green Angels are a 501c3 Nonprofit Charitable Organization founded by Bill Doyle & Marya Vande-Doyle in 2008. We are a small organization operated completely by a couple of hundred volunteers and one paid part-time associate. The Green Angels aims to enrich the lives of local children with quality gently used toys, books and clothes at no cost, while encouraging citizens to experience the benefits of giving back to their community by recycling household items. Additionally we provide infant items to young mothers such as diapers, pack ‘n plays, strollers and crib mattresses. We collect our gently used items throughout the year and use this as inventory to serve families in need. All items are free and delivered at no charge. We do our best to find suitable items for every request.
