Help Fund a Ramp for Our Therapy Donkeys’ Van
In a world that often feels unsteady, donkeys are a grounding force. They don’t rush. They don’t force. They don’t live in the past or the future—only here, now.
They move through life with an unshakable sense of safety—deeply attuned to their surroundings, aware of what feels safe or unsafe, yet without fear. Instead, they embody a quiet confidence that reminds us:
True safety doesn’t come from controlling the world. It comes from discovering our own inner steadiness.
I believe we are living through a crisis of unsafety. So many of us carry layers of tension, bracing against a world that feels chaotic. That’s why one of their greatest gifts is helping us to reconnect with a deep, inner safety—not through force, but through gentle, unstructured time in our therapeutic workshops with donkeys for people of all ages and abilities.
At Human Animal Connection Sanctuary, we bring people and animals together to heal both. We use several natural, holistic methods to promote healing and transformation in people’s lives, introducing therapy donkeys to those needing comfort and healing.
We need help to build a Donkey Friendly Ramp for the van to make these healing workshops accessible to more people.
An accessible ramp would allow us to bring the donkeys to people who need comfort and joy, such as high school students, veterans, 911 operators, healthcare workers, trauma survivors, and anyone seeking healing.
