Passover Packages for Jewish Service Members 2025
Imagine trying to observe Passover in a foreign land, at a base where you are the only Jew or where the closest kosher foods are a 4-hour drive away? That is the reality for many Jewish service members. This year, you can support our brothers and sisters in the military by sponsoring the 18th Soldiers Passover Package Project.
The Jewish Soldiers Project, which started with 10 small Passover packages back in 2008, has grown to serve thousands of Jewish soldiers across the globe year-round. Through our efforts, we have given support and a sense of community to many Jewish soldiers who would not otherwise be able to celebrate their faith.
In 2024, the JSP sent over 100 Passover care packages to service members serving in 20 nations, including Kuwait, Qatar, Korea, Japan, Germany, Italy, England, Poland, and Djibouti (East Africa). For those Jewish soldiers serving on the home front, we sponsored Seders at 2 dozen bases across the US and ships at sea.
For 2025, we anticipate sending over 125 Passover packages serving the needs of hundreds of Jews in the military. The packages include matzos, grape juice, gefilte fish, horseradish, charoset, jam, condiments, desserts and whatever other items are requested.
In addition to care packages sent for Purim, Passover, Rosh Hashanah and Hanukkah, we send “Shabbot boxes” (challah, grape juice and babka) nearly every week throughout the year. For our 18th Soldiers Hanukkah Card Project , we sent over 6000 cards made by children from 120 schools/shuls in 35 states. Recently, we sent 125 Purim packages containing hundreds of children's Purim cards and Mishloach Manot bags.
I'm raising money to benefit Jewish Soldiers Project Inc, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
