Help Protect a Child
Organizers of this fundraiser: Our names are Anika Bhat and Jay Hoskeri, the founders of the Hakuna Matata for All foundation. We are both incoming freshmen in High School who are looking for ways to help others during the pandemic.
The sudden surge of Coronavirus cases in India have led to unfortunate circumstances for people all around the nation. In the midst of this crisis, the struggles of the most vulnerable groups of India’s population-the marginalized children, have been neglected.
A small donation would help the Kailash Satyarthi Foundation (KSF). This organization strives to ensure that children are able to live a safe childhood. In lieu of the current situation in India, the KSF is providing medical care packages to 50+ government approved child care facilities. Each of these kits include:
-1 oxygen concetrator
-1 oxymeter
-2 infrared thermometers
-1 nebulizer
-2 steam machines
-50 sanitizers
-500 medical grade face masks
-An assortment of non-prescription medicines
-ORS packets, and vitamins to boost immunity
The cost of one kit is $2,200. We hope to raise enough money to sponsor at least one kit.
Every dollar put towards this cause will help better the situation of these kids and advocate for their natural rights and wellbeing.
Although the focus right now is to provide medical aid to child care facilities, the KSF also focuses on helping children escape from abusive circumstances.
We hope to reach our goal of $2,200 as soon as possible in order to provide immediate relief to this cause. Your donations are greatly appreciated.
All donations will go directly to the KSF after the goal has been reached.
