The Lucky Cow

At The Lucky Cow, we're not just dreaming of a better future; we're building it, one sustainable farm at a time. Born from a vision to solve some of today's most pressing challenges—hunger, homelessness, and the need for renewable energy—our project has blossomed into a beacon of hope and innovation. By integrating vertical farming, renewable energy production, and housing for those in need, we've created a self-sustaining ecosystem that nurtures both people and the planet.

Our journey began with a simple idea: What if we could turn waste into wealth, and in doing so, feed and house communities while powering them with clean energy? This led to the creation of The Lucky Cow, a project that uses anaerobic digesters to recycle organic waste into methane for energy, water, and fertilizer for crops and livestock. Our approach is designed to be scalable, capable of adapting from serving small rural villages to energizing larger urban areas.

The recognition of our efforts by being named Finalists in the 2024 Clean Tech Challenge at Portland State University is a testament to the potential of The Lucky Cow to revolutionize how we think about agriculture, energy, and community living.
