Nicholas and Averee

Morse both worked second jobs at the Caro-Mi Restaurant on Tryon's Pacolet River. During Hurricane Helene, this restaurant lost bridge access and was moved off its foundation and may never reopen. Since 1945, this restaurant was a destination for many people, including my mother, Betty Rogers. The customers of Caro-Mi provided a much-needed $2000 worth of income to the Morses.

Nicholas and Averee have two little boys, Emerson and Ellis.

These are anything but lazy people, and Nicholas said, “God will provide.” So, let’s be the hands and feet of God by making a donation. The River Ministries/Forge will take that money and make payments directly to their mortgage or other bills.

Hi, my name is Leah! I am raising money in conjunction with The River Ministries so I can attend Wild at Heart's Captivating retreat. The River Ministries' mission is to connect people with the peace of Christ and place they have in His kingdom through mission and ministry. WAH'S Captivating, a four-day women's retreat in Colorado, allows women to journey together into the deep mysteries of our feminine souls in order to recapture our hearts for a unique mission and purpose, all through the lens of God's eyes.

As I have never had an opportunity to attend a retreat like this due to financial constraints, I am grateful to attend Captivating to learn more about my place in God's story and how I can share His gospel and mission to the world. Any funds raised will assist me in paying for the retreat, air and land travel, and lodging. Any donation will help make an impact.
