In September 2017, Hurricane Maria hit the shores of Puerto Rico resulting in $91.61 billion dollars of damage. The island is still rebuilding and in the wake of the devastation, another crisis looms as an estimated 500,000 stray dogs - "Satos" - are being left to die.
