More Jesus for the Homeless
The Spartanburg Interfaith Hospitality Network, SPIHN is a shelter for homeless children and their families and individuals, providing shelter and supportive services to include intensive case management, financial literacy, budgeting, Power of Positive Parenting classes, clinical and spiritual counseling, housing programs for graduated SPIHN families providing partial rental subsidy.
We recently opened the Spartanburg Opportunity Center, SOC, a resource center for homeless individuals at the NW Center on Saxon Avenue. We meet regularly with the homeless community as we try to address their needs.
The SOC homeless community asked for, “More JESUS.” And we want to meet that need. We have a plan to livestream services every Sunday morning starting April 4th, Easter Sunday.
In order to follow appropriate COVID regulations, we will need an A/V system for the gym. This will double as a training and event center during the week.
Our need is $20,000 for the project and we are asking that you be a part of bringing “More JESUS” to those who need it most.
