BACKGROUND: Billie Allen is an innocent man who has been on federal death row for over 27 years for a crime he did not commit. He is at imminent risk of execution under a second Trump administration, and I need your help to amplify his story and pressure President Biden to pardon Billie Allen before it is too late. Billie’s innocence and freedom campaign has the support of prominent voices and advocates including Dr. Yusef Salaam, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Khaliah Ali, Jason Flom, and many others.
As you can learn about on the Free Billie Allen website and social media accounts, there are multiple pieces of evidence that point to Billie’s innocence including but not limited to: 1) negative gasoline results on Billie’s clothing, proving that he was not in the getaway vehicle which was soaked in gasoline; 2) negative DNA results of a bloody strap found at the scene of the crime; and 3) alibi witness testimony of someone who placed Billie across town at a shopping mall during the time the crime was committed.
