The Tomorrow Fund

Katie Day, John Hare, Emily Darrow, and Jon Hare are running theFalmouth Road Race to support children with cancer and their families. John and Emily are engaged and both childhood cancer survivors. Emily was diagnosed with leukemia at 4 and John was diagnosed with sarcoma at 9. The Tomorrow Fund supports children with cancer and their families treated at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, where John was treated. John and Jon are running the Road Race for the fourth time and joined by Emily and Katie for their first time. The Race is on August 15 and we are looking forward to a good run.

Master Park’s Champion Taekwondo Center and Brown University Taekwondo Club will be hosting the Tomorrow Fund Kick-a-Thon on Saturday, March 6th. The event will take place online through Zoom. This annual event is dedicated to raising money for children with cancer and their families, which is especially important in these times of Covid-19. In addition to the very best in medical care, they need and deserve financial and emotional assistance to cope with the overwhelming challenges of this insidious disease. 

The Tomorrow Fund (www.tomorrowfund.org) was founded in 1985 to ease the traumatic emotional and financial effects of childhood cancer. It is the only non-profit organization that provides daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families who are treated at Hasbro Children's Hospital.

All participating students will complete an amazing 1000 PERFECT KICKS to show their support for this cause. Please help us make a difference and show that you care.

My brother Nicholas was diagnosed with luekemia back in the mid 2000's, where he battled for about 9 years off and on before loosing the battle in 2018. Nick was a caring, hilarious, and loved kid amongst all and it breaks me daily knowing he is not here in physical form. 

As we approach three years without my brother Nicholas, I refuse to let another year pass by without extending a hand to families who need the help. If Nick were here right now and knew about the global pandemic and how it's displaced so many hard-working people - he would act. Cancer does not stop, even during a global pandemic, so people still need support.

So on behalf of Nick, I would love for you to donate to this cause as the Tomorrow Fund is a RI provide daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families, from the time of diagnosis throughout the entire course of treatment. Kids can come from anywhere but they must be treated in our pediatric oncology program and The Tomorrow Fund Clinic at Hasbro Childrens Hospital to receive our services.

This Thanksgiving season, we are raising money to benefit The Tomorrow Fund , and any donation will help make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much.

Every two minutes, somewhere in the world a family hears the devastating words “your child has cancer.” Childhood cancer is the most common cause of death by disease for children in the United States. The Tomorrow Fund provides daily financial and emotional support to children with cancer and their families who are treated at Hasbro Children’s Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. Our goal is to end 2020 on a high note and make a difference in a child’s life and get one step closer to finding a cure for cancer.

The kicker; if we reach our goal of raising $5,000, a group of us will be braving the cold, Rhode Island waters in a socially distant “polar plunge” type event. No wetsuits, no booties on our feet, just us swimming in sub 50-degree water celebrating a massive $5,000 donation to a wonderful Rhode Island non-profit organization.

Thank you again for your help. Let’s crush cancer and put a smile on a child’s face this season.

We, the members of Central Falls FOP Lodge #2, are on a mission this November - in honor of No-Shave November!  

“Grow it. Show it. Support children with Cancer and their families."

We are growing facial hair for charity!!!  All our donations raised will be matched by our Union and given to the Tomorrow Fund.  From November 1 through November 30, we are dropping the razor (something our police chief, Colonel James Mendonca, has granted for this special month only) to raise donations for all children and their families suffering from Cancer at Hasbro Children's Hospital.

"The Tomorrow Fund Clinic, a non-profit organization at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, provides daily financial and emotional support to children with Cancer and their families.  Kids can come from anywhere in the world; but they must be treated in Hasbro's Pediatric Oncology Program to receive such services. To date, more than 2,000 children and their families have received financial and emotional support from The Tomorrow Fund."
