Gallbladder Surgery Fund for a Brighter Future
Our school group is raising money for gallbladder surgery to support a member of our community who urgently needs this life-changing procedure but cannot afford it. The surgery is severe pain and prevents further problems from untreated gallbladder issues. By coming together and using our efforts, This project reflects our commitment to making a difference in the lives of others and making a change for people above and beyond. Mary Scharff
The CycleBar East Cobb community lost our dear friend Mary Scharff last week, after a valiant battle with cancer.

Mary requested that any donations in her honor be directed to The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, her home away from home for much of her treatment. MD Anderson is one of the world's foremost treatment and research facilities for Mary's type of cancer.

Per Mary's wishes, no public memorial service will be held. Our community will celebrate her this weekend, on Sunday, 21 April at 9am at CycleBar East Cobb with a LoveMary Tribute Ride, followed by a brunch, and honor her through donations to MD Anderson.

Please join us for the ride (sign up as usual through the app or website) and if you're able, help fight cancer and honor Mary's memory through a donation.

Our continuing mission is to use art as a vehicle for tackling one of the most universal and devastating forms of illness - cancer.

Since 2015, Fight With Your Art has raised over $10,000 for cancer research and care. The annual variety show features talent from all over the US coming together for an evening of music, dance, circus, spoken word and comedy focused on hope, resiliency and change.

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit MD Anderson's cancer research. Any donation will help create an impact. This project means a lot to my family and me. I appreciate any help you can provide.

The story behind this website and my own main cause for wanting to build awareness for cancer started with my mom. She found out about her colon cancer about four years ago, and has been through many surgeries and therapy sessions, only in hopes to fight off what she had. I have watched her for many years, going from hospital to hospital, until she landed at MD Anderson. This hospital made her feel comfortable and hopeful, with the amazing staff and renowned doctors. I created this non-profit in hopes to give back to source that helped my mother at her toughest times- while also spreading awareness.

bd cancer support’s mission is to help fund cancer research while also spreading awareness for the cause, serving all who have interest in giving back to the cancer society, in hopes to grow resources.

Hi friends, please join us in making a difference in the lives of children and adolescents with cancer.

In 2014, our son, Malcolm Hill gained his wings at 21 after a three-year battle with Osteosarcoma. His adversity didn’t stop him from being an attentive big brother to his three younger brothers. He served as a role model to them that your mistakes don’t define you, that love should guide you, and that helping heals. He found his purpose as an artist while serving with the MD Anderson Arts in Medicine Program.

This fundraiser benefits that program, that provides support to children and teens who are battling cancer in the MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital.

Every year, his family and friends gather to run the Houston Rodeo Run in his memory.

To all of our loved ones,

On May 25 of this year, we lost our dear brother, cousin, nephew, and friend, Jack Curtis Savage, to Ewing's Sarcoma after a long 5-year, hard fought battle. To honor the man and skier Jack was, we have decided to kick off an annual Ski-A-Thon fundraiser for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center benefitting Adolescent and Young Adult cancer research in Jack's name! I hope you will join us in honoring Jack and donating to this foundation.

Ski-A-Thon

Jack loved to ski. Over these past 5 years in particular, there are few places that he felt more at home than floating through the powder. Some of his fondest memories were skiing with friends and family throughout New Mexico and Colorado, with his faithful sidekick (his dog Cleo) waiting at the base of the mountain. His drive and love of skiing led to the decision to combine our fundraising efforts with a weekend ski trip to Crested Butte, Colorado on February 4-7th, 2021. There will also be an online silent auction with a lot of great trips and items! (link coming soon) The event is open to anyone interested and we look forward to sharing plenty of laughs and stories about Jack while benefitting a great cause that has been truly underfunded for some time now. Skiers will be responsible for their own trip expenses, so all donations will go directly to MD Anderson and all donations are tax deductible. We understand today's climate may make it difficult to spare anything for donations and we completely understand. If you are unable to make a donation, I ask that you share this GoFundMe with anyone that may be interested in donating or attending the event. Every little bit helps and any donation would be greatly appreciated!

Option 1) You can make a one time donation through this page

OR

Option 2) To spice things up a bit, we came up with a more interactive way to donate. We found an app that will track the number of runs I do during the 2 days skiing. You can donate $X per run I am able to complete at the end of the two days of skiing. If you choose this option, donate the amount you choose to donate per run and in the comment of your donation please type "per run." After the event I will reach out and ask you to donate the rest you committed.

EX: donate $5 and type "per run" in comment. If I ski 40 runs over the 2 days that is at total of $200 and I will ask you to donate the remaining $195 ($5 initial donation + the remaining $195 =$200) to this GoFundMe page

NOTE: you can also set a max donation limit for option 2 if you think my knees are stronger than your wallet

7th Annual Race for Appendiceal Cancer Research
After a year off due to Covid, we will once again be running a half marathon to raise money for MD Anderson's appendiceal cancer research team led by Dr. Paul Mansfield. Over the past 7 years, we have raised nearly $50,000 for this very important cause!!! This year, our run will take place in Naples, FL on January 16th, 2022. As many of you know, our father was diagnosed with appendiceal cancer at a time when treatments were just on the brink of discovery. The treatment he received was not even available in most of the top hospitals yet. Had he been diagnosed a decade earlier, virtually no options would have existed. This cancer is rare, but the knowledge base is moving quickly. Breakthroughs are happening in real time, and this is one area where donations can make an immediate difference. Crested Butte Feb 4-7, 2021

Join Us and support the fight against child hood cancer. Jack Savage’s friends and family are joining together in Crested Butte , Colorado to raise childhood cancer awareness by coming together for a weekend to ski, snow mobile, tube, and race to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer for MD Anderson Cancer Center Children’s Hospital.

We will end the event with a fun filled costume party and awards reception for fund raising teams and our supporters . All skiers are paying their own travel and trip expenses, so that all funds raised go directly to the The MD Anderson’s Children’s Hospital and are tax deductible.
