LABCITY needs you. This has been a dream of mine for a long time. This isn't just a dream about a basketball business. This is a dream about helping children become better basketball players and better people. All of you have participated in this organization in one way or another. I’m asking for a little bit of your help to keep this dream alive. I hope that we can come together as a Dragons/LABCITY community. The nonprofit that I formed, Time Out to Care, focuses just on that. So keeping this dream alive is not only about keeping this organization together and our boys and girls growing, it’s also about helping those who are less fortunate than we are.

About a week ago I sent out a message to some of you outlining the need for assistance to deal with a severe funding crunch the Lab is in. This was triggered by the Covid economy and the skyrocketing construction costs that came with it. These two factors helped create a cash shortage that puts LABCITY at risk. In response to my message, we have received both direct donations from some as well as the commitment of significant investment contributions from a small group of families dedicated to the survival of LABCITY and what it represents for their kids.

We are trying to reach our funding goal and time is getting short. I’m reaching out to all of you to see if any of you would like to contribute to the ongoing activities at LABCITY through either a donation or a direct investment. We recognize it can be tough making ends meet these days and would like to thank you for any contribution you choose to make. We have designated different recognition for differing levels of commitment on your part. Anything you choose is appreciated.

Levels of contribution:

- $250-499 – a LABCITY t-shirt.

- $500-1,499 – a LABCITY t-shirt and a training session with one of our coaches.

- $1,500-2,499 – a LABCITY hoodie for parents and your child and a package of 3 training sessions with one of our coaches.

- $2,500-4,999 – 20% off an annual membership package of your choice.

- Over $5,000 – A choice of repayment of your contribution plus interest over 4 years (@ 8% interest) or contribution repayment plus a discount on training or packages equal to the interest.

Whatever you choose, whether it’s to contribute at any level you feel comfortable with or simply to continue supporting LABCITY with your membership, we value our relationship and thank you for trusting us with the training of your kids.

Time is of the essence here. So I’m asking if you can pledge your support through a tax-deductible donation to Time Out to Care. Because of firm dates around payments, LABCITY must make this week, we are looking for your commitments in the next few days (by noon Thursday, 7/27).
