Touchdowns for Books: Score Big with Eliot & the Eagles
Hey Eagles fans! Ready to turn touchdowns into treasures? For every touchdown our Birds score, Eagles reporter Eliot Shorr-Parks is teaming up to donate $5—the cost of a brand-new book—for kids in Philly.

Let’s rally behind this awesome cause and help fill young minds with stories, knowledge, and imagination! You can join in and make a difference by donating too. Together, we can light up the scoreboard and brighten futures.

In the past 2 years, Eagles fans have raised $12,322, which purchased 2,465 books that Tree House Books gave away for free! This season, an anonymous donor agreed to match all donations up to $5,000 - an extra 1,000 books!! We need you to join us this season!

We are a Giving Library and Literacy Center headquartered in North Philadelphia. We provide free books to children and families, and Out of School Time programs that increases literacy skills and promote a lifelong love of reading and writing. Our programs serve children (and their families!) from their earliest moments, through high school, and beyond. We believe that literacy - in its many forms - is fundamental to academic success, career readiness, and, most importantly, personal empowerment.

Touchdowns for Books!
Once again WIP Eagles beat reporter, Eliot Shorr-Parks, is looking to harness Eagles touchdowns for good in our community! For every TD scored in the regular season and (hopefully) through the playoffs, Eliot is asking you to pledge one brand-new book for a kid in Philly.

Tree House Books can get a brand new, reading level appropriate, kid-chosen book into the hands of kids for about $5. They give away these books in their Giving Library on West Susquehanna Avenue off Broad Street in North Philly, and all over the city in their bookmobile: the Traveling Tree House.

Last year, with your help, Eliot was able to raise $8,217 - enough for 1,644 books! Can we top it this year?

You can make a difference by donating today to Tree House Books! This Eagles season, we are teaming up with SportsRadio 94WIP's Eliot Shorr-Parks to bring brand new books to kids all over Philadelphia with our partners at Read by 4th!

We pledge to take books into the neighborhoods through our Traveling Tree House bookmobile and our other Read by 4th coalition partners, Reading Captains, and more!

How can you help?

Each time the Eagles score a touchdown this season donate one book ($5). Over the course of the season we hope to see plenty of touchdowns and plenty of books being donated!

Read by 4th is a citywide coalition of families, communities and system leaders working together to protect every child's right to read. We believe everyone has a role to play in growing strong readers.
