More information about Umar Boxing Program Inc: The mission of Umar is to reclaim community youth from the city streets of Baltimore and to prepare them for future roles as productive citizens of society. The program strives to create and maintain a positive and safe environment for youth, providing multiple activities geared to improving academic, social and athletic skills. Our motto is "No Hooks before Books." While boxing is an exciting draw and integral part of the program, academic development is the paramount goal. All youth enrolled in the program must participate first in academic activities.
