Imagine a little girl or boy sitting at home on a beautiful fall day, watching through the window as the neighborhood fun of playing in leaves or trick-or-treating unfolds, but unable to join in because the steps to his home are a barrier to leaving it.

That scenario is a reality for many children who have disabilities and use wheelchairs in Metropolitan Detroit. We hope to change that with the QuickRamps for Kids® program.


QuickRamps are portable ramp solutions. Unlike costly built-to-order ramps they are inexpensive and immediately functional. A family receiving a QuickRamp is able to open the box, put the ramp in place, and have an accessible home immediately.

Even better, because the ramps are portable, they can be used to make anyplace accessible. Going to Grandma’s house? Fold up the QuickRamp and take it along! Invited to a friend’s home for a birthday party? No worries—the QuickRamp will get your child in the door.

To date, Quick Ramps has supplied ramps to over 200 families, individuals and organizations. We are here on GoFundMe to raise $10,000, which will help to supply at least 30 ramps to others striving to live a #LifeWithoutLimits.
