Support a South Florida Oyster Study and Water Quality Improvement Project Created By and For The Locals!
Join the effort to enhance water quality in South Florida by funding critical water testing and oyster restoration projects along the New River and Intracoastal Waterway. These initiatives are vital steps toward achieving our goal of placing One Million Oysters into our local waterways to create living reefs that purify water and restore marine habitats.
Two Ways to Make an Impact:
Water Quality Testing:
Donations of $100.00 - $200.00 will directly fund the testing of water at existing and potential oyster sites. This testing is crucial for compiling accurate data on local water conditions and assessing the viability of placing oysters. Your contribution will also support the development of outreach and education campaigns, ensuring residents are informed about the quality of water in their communities.
Oyster Rope and Biocarbon Bag Installation:
Donations of $25.00 - $50.00 help cover the costs of permitting, project management, and the deployment of oyster ropes and biocarbon bags at local marinas, businesses, and residences. By installing 5,000 oyster strings and ropes under docks, we can take significant steps toward our ambitious goal of restoring One Million Oysters to these waters.
Our Mission:
With the backing of local government officials and the support of our community, our ultimate aim is to return South Florida’s waterways to their natural, swimmable, and thriving states, benefiting both residents and wildlife.
Your donation today will fund the crucial groundwork for this transformation—beginning with rigorous water quality testing and continuing through the strategic placement of oysters to enhance our waterways.
Make a Difference Today!
Your support is key to the success of this project. By donating, you are committing to a future where our waterways are clean, vibrant, and full of life.
If you are interested installing an oyster rope or biocarbon bag at your business or home, please donate today to voice your commitment to water quality improvements and we'll reach out with more installation information.
Additional testing sites will be added as site specific needs develop or as funding becomes available.
