Daily Table nonprofit grocery stores provide a vital nutrition incentive program designed to make fresh fruits and vegetables more affordable for low-income families who use SNAP. Customers shopping with SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps) get 50% off fresh produce through this program, effectively stretching grocery budgets twice as far, and helping families access healthier food choices.
Due to unexpected funding challenges, this vital program, Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB), has been temporarily paused.
Daily Table has offered the DUFB program at all 5 of our nonprofit grocery stores since 2018, and since then, our SNAP customers have redeemed nearly $2 million worth of fresh produce through the half-off program.
We know this nutrition incentive is something our neighbors rely on to feed their families healthy fruits & vegetables every week and make their SNAP benefit dollars go further.
On average 3,000 SNAP customers per week currently use this program at Daily Table.
We urgently need your help to restore this SNAP nutrition incentive program, ensuring our neighbors can continue to access affordable, nutritious food. Every dollar you contribute goes directly towards bringing back this program that benefits families, supports local farmers, and strengthens our community.
Together, we can increase the health of the community through increased consumption of fresh fruits & vegetables!! Please donate today to help feed our neighbors and make fresh produce accessible for everyone.
Daily Table is grateful to the City of Cambridge and the City of Boston Office of Food Justice for their contributions to help us restore the DUFB programs in our Cambridge and Boston store locations.
