USA BOCCIA BC1-BC2 TEAM FUND
Hello,
My name is Sam Williams, Head Coach of Synergy Adapted Athletics Boccia, of Carol Stream, Illinois.
Recently our athletes Michele Lynch, Brigid Mason, and Matt Hiltner were selected by USA Boccia to compete on the U.S. BC1-BC2 Team at the World Open in Montreal, Canada this April 25th through May 1st. Abdullah Anwar of California and Cornelius Oatis of Ohio have also been selected to the Team.
Boccia is a lawn bowling sport which has been adapted for individuals with physical disabilities, and has been played at the Paralympic Games since 1984.
Their success at this event will bring the U.S. Team closer to its goal of competing in the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.
The U.S. Team needs to have a good showing in Montreal so it can begin the qualification process for Tokyo. You can help support our team accomplish its goals through a tax-deductible donation. For our team to achieve success, we are hoping to raise $20000 ($4000 per athlete) by March 1st. This money will allow us to travel, train, compete, and have the necessary coaches and support staff.
The athletes are honored to have been selected to the U.S. Team, and look forward to enabling the U.S. Team reach its full potential and achieve new success.
Your generosity will enable us to proudly represent the U.S. at the highest level of athletic competition.
Thank you so very much!
