Donate to Help Valley Cities Recovery Place
We are a team of senior students at Central Washington University, collecting material donations and raising funds for Valley Cities Recovery Place in Kent, WA.
Valley Cities "Recovery Place Kent is a 32-bed licensed Co-occurring facility offering both Evaluation & Treatment and Secure Withdraw Management beds, primarily serving King County. All clients are brought to the facility on involuntary status, with on-site video King County Court proceedings." (Valley Cities, n.d.)
More about Secure Withdraw Management: "In 2018, the State of Washington passed Ricky’s Law, which enables Designated Crisis Responders to detain clients for substance abuse, under the Revised Code of Washington. Valley Cities is the first to open a facility of this kind in King County, serving a population that would otherwise go untreated." (Valley Cities, n.d.)
All Valley Cities locations are Washington state-funded facilities with limited resources. Valley Cities employees often use money out of their own pockets to provide items, such as clothing and toiletries, to their residents. Please help us reach our goal. Every dollar counts. All donations will be sent directly to Valley Cities in order to provide essential items and basic human necessities to individuals recovering from Substance Use Disorder, as well as experiencing mental and behavioral crises.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
