    Support the First Structure of the Cottage Court!

    Welcome! We are Team #6 of the 2024 cohort of Leadership Green Bay. As a part of this program, each team creates a project to help better the communities of Northeast Wisconsin.

    We have partnered with Veterans 1st of NEW which is dedicated to providing transitional and affordable housing for veterans in need. The vision is to create a safe and supportive community consisting of 21 cottage homes, including a Community Center, aiming to address housing insecurity among veterans in our area. To support their mission, our proposal focuses on fundraising to build a shed that will play a crucial role in facilitating the construction of this village.

    Our project will raise funds to construct a carriage house. This out building will serve as a pivotal storage space for tools and building materials necessary to construct the cottage court within the Veterans 1st of NEW Cottage Court. After completion, it will serve as storage for maintenance, resident belongings, and additional supplies.

About Veterans 1st of NEW, Inc.

Our mission is to provide safe, supportive housing and services to our veterans of Northeast Wisconsin who were willing to give their lives for our country and are now in need of help themselves. We offer employment services along with assistance with healthcare in a community of other veterans who share their experience, strength and hope with each other as they grow to self-sufficiency in up to 5 years. They will have their own tiny home to live in as they gain the skills needed to move out on their own.
