About Virtual Museum of Public Service

The Virtual Museum of Public Service (VMPS) will engage the public, especially students, in appreciating the critical roles of public servants in delivering on societal promises, underlining many paths to a life of civic engagement in public agencies, nonprofits, media, foundations, public-private partnerships, and voluntary organizations. Our goal is to elevate VMPS to the level of a curated experience attractive to a wide range of visitors. It will be a vehicle through which all can celebrate public servants' historical and contemporary contributions and their quiet pride in serving fellow citizens. The museum will serve as a welcome educational resource, one that is largely absent in high school, undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare students for lives of public engagement.
