Food for Kids!
Our community needs YOUR help now more than ever. This year, South High’s Interact Club, The Volunteer Center-Food For Kids, West High School, and South High School from the Torrance Unified School District will be hosting a Canned Food Drive and GoFundMe competition to give back to the South Bay and its struggling families. West Torrance Rotary has also graciously contributed $1,750 for the winning school to donate to a charity of their choice that will further benefit those in need.
With your contribution today (no matter how big or how small), we can make this competition a success and leave a lasting impact for the people of this community. Please share this GoFundMe page with your friends and family too!
*When making a donation, please remember to choose a school you would like to donate on behalf of so that it counts towards their total. We also accept non-perishable foods at each high school if you would like to contribute in that way.
Thank you so much to South High School, West High School, the Volunteer Center, West Torrance Rotary, and all of the contributing members of this competition for making this possible!
More information about the Volunteer Center: South Bay - Harbor - Long Beach: Recognizing the value of empathy and service to others, the Volunteer Center has been "at the heart of helping" for more than 50 years. The heart of our mission lies in knowing the most urgent, local needs. We learn these needs by regularly listening to the members of our community. When we discover a critical need is going unmet - such as nutritious food for Title One students in our communities or lack of a social-emotional wellness program for adolescents during these challenging times, we lead the response by assembling a team of caring, talented volunteers to create programs that offer members of our community the opportunity to contribute to the solution.
