Couple expecting baby in 1 month evicted from hotel after being displaced by Lahaina fire…

This sweet couple was displaced from the Lahaina fire, evicted from a nearby hotel, and they’re expecting their first child in one month.

Before the fire, they were living at a shelter, had a contract, and were paying rent.

They were staying at a nearby hotel, until they were evicted because they didn’t qualify any longer. Well, there were no other resources to help them get on their feet, so they lived in their car along with their puppy!

Now they are living at the beach, and Cn, the future father, is working to provide what he can. And the expecting mom, Kawai, is home with her puppy.

The fire has devastated the town of Lahaina, and left it to the community picking up the pieces and helping each other get on their feet.

We got to bless this sweet couple by donating $500 directly to them. We’ve started a GoFundMe on behalf of Cn and Kawai, to help bless them even more!

UPDATED JAN 18 2024** Patrick is kicked out of his housing with less than 24 hours notice & has no where to go!!!

Patrick lost his home, his pet, and almost died in the Lahaina, Maui fire. He was in the ocean for 7 hours waiting to be rescued. He has throat damage from the fire, and has lost 30 pounds since. He cannot swallow solid foods. There’s no long-term housing plan for him yet, he’s still in the hotel. Patrick’s dream is to ride the waves kite surfing.

The day we met him, he found $900 in a wallet. He called the owner and gave it back. He said he really needed that money, but decided to give it back. The owner was leaving that day to the mainland with his girlfriend. He offered a tip, but Patrick said just enjoy your vacation.

Right after he told us this story, we blessed him with $1,000 in cash.

We want to help him out even more and help him get to a throat specialist, and even surprise him with a wind surf setup!

We are a registered 501 (c) (3c) in the state of Hawaii. We were introduced to Patrick through a friend that is helping volunteer with Lahaina Strong on the beach.
