Ken Wolff is fundraising
Wabash Frisco & Pacific Pandemic Support Fund
Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation combined with St. Louis County restrictions, the WF&P is not able to open to the public for the 2020 season. It was a hard decision to make but it was the socially responsible thing for the organization to do. However, the situation at hand has effectively stopped the revenue stream from ticket and souvenir sales that pays the bills that have kept the railroad operating since 1939.
The Wabash, Frisco and Pacific Association, Incorporated is a
Missouri not-for-profit educational corporation whose operating fund comes from those ticket and gift purchases. With the closure right now that means there is no income to support our mission to demonstrate and educate the public about the history of railroading and live steam locomotives.
Your donation will help with the overhead costs such as utilities and the continued maintenance and improvements to the railroad, rolling stock, and facilities. With the continuous work our volunteers have been putting in these areas, we hope to make the next operating season for the public in 2021 one of our best yet once we get the clearance to do so.
We have set a goal of $55,000 for this campaign as that is the typical annual revenue that is collected over the course of a normal operating season. While it would be great to smash the ceiling on that goal, please know any donation helps. We ask you to please consider giving what you may typically spend on a trip with your family to the railroad.
Thank you for your consideration and we hope you are able to come ride the rails with us when we are able to have you and your family out again in the future.
