Keep Harriette's Legacy Alive: Support Jazz Education
Our mother, Harriette Dodson, whose life was a beautiful composition of dedication, love, and an unwavering commitment to music education, left us far too soon. As a piano teacher, she nurtured not just the skills but also the souls of countless students, instilling in them a lifelong passion for music. Jazz, in particular, held a special place in her heart, embodying the freedom and creativity she cherished. In fact, her one and only son, David Marsh III, (aka The Magic Bass), is a respected and talented jazz musician well-known in the Washington, DC area.
To honor her memory and continue the melody of her legacy, we are reaching out for donations to the Washington Jazz Arts Institute. This incredible organization mirrors our mother's belief in the power of music education to change lives, especially in fostering the talents and dreams of young musicians. By supporting the Washington Jazz Arts Institute, we keep her spirit alive, contributing to a world that flourishes with the sounds of jazz music she so dearly loved. It's a tribute to a remarkable woman, whose life was a testament to the transformative power of music and the beauty of sharing it with others.
