Organized by Watan Project
Ramadan Relief For Afghanistan 2022
Our Goal:
Ramadan is a month of joy and blessings. It is also the month of giving and caring for those struggling with extreme poverty and those facing dire living conditions in underdeveloped countries like Afghanistan, which is currently facing a severe economic and humanitarian crisis leaving millions of vulnerable families and children under starvation.
During Ramadan 2022, Watan Project, in collaboration with Children Without Borders, is continuing its life-saving work around the provinces of Afghanistan, delivering essential food packages to ensure vulnerable families are not left hungry during these unprecedented times. These uncertain times will make it especially challenging for children who work on the street and in child labor factories while fasting long days with limited access to clean water, food, health services, and other basic needs.
What will be distributed?
As continued, we want to be the bridge of help between you and those families in desperate need of help. With your generous donations, we will provide emergency food relief packages to families at risk of starvation during this emergency crisis across the provinces of Afghanistan. The packages will include one month of grocery supplies that will include items such as:
- Rice (25kg)
- Oil (10 Litres)
- Beans (4kg)
- Chickpeas (4kg)
- Flour (40kg)
- Sugar (1kg)
- Salt (5 Packs)
- Tea (1kg)
- Other basic essential food items
This Ramadan, your support will enable us to reach those living in extreme poverty, drought, war, and conflict in Afghanistan. By donating $100 USD, you can help save the lives of 5-6 people at risk of extreme hunger and starvation. Please donate generously!
Who are we?
The Watan Project is a 501c3 group of young Afghan-Americans based out of Southern California that hope to make a difference in the Afghan community. They teach our youth about Afghanistan’s rich history, talk about issues in the Afghan community, as well as lead by example with their humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan. Members of the Watan Project hope to inspire a movement in hopes that other young Afghans will join them in their journey to create a better Afghanistan.
Children Without Borders is a registered non-profit organization based in Toronto, Canada with the mandate of eradicating child labor in Afghanistan. At CWB, they provide access to education and financial assistance to poverty-stricken families in Afghanistan for the purpose of reviving and rebuilding Afghanistan.
