After the Flood: Raising Money for Phoenix Rising
We have all of the necessary permits and approvals for this project. All we need is your support to make it a reality.
Your donation will beautify a historic village, mark a life-changing event, and help remind and inspire generations to come.

When Hurricane Irene ripped through Waterbury, VT it upended lives, ruined businesses, and left devastation in its wake. Almost overnight, the artifacts of people’s lives—baby photos, family heirlooms, sofas and wedding albums—were piled high on front lawns, waterlogged and ruined. After the water receded from the 100-year-flood, it seemed only mud remained.

But the people of Waterbury were not deterred. They organized teams to dig mud out of basements and bucket brigades to get water out of living rooms. They offered free coffee, hot dogs, and meals to volunteers. It was a difficult, frightening time but we came through it, stronger and closer than before.

Any donation counts and will be greatly appreciated. Donors of $500 or more will have their name listed on the commemorative signage that will be installed.
The Waterbury Area MakerSphere Cooperative Inc is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and our fiscal agent.
