Alexander Krumm High School Sponsorship Fund
This scholarship fund is being established as part of Watumull Family Children's Fund to continue the work of Alexander (Sasha) Krumm. Sasha established the “Develop Every Kid Foundation” in 2015 with many of the same goals shared by WFCF. This fund is a legacy to Sasha’s efforts.
Our goal is to sponsor forty 8th-grade students from the Bethany School in the Kawangare Settlement in Nairobi, Kenya. While high schools are state-supported boarding schools, each student is required to provide tuition of $500 per year. Our goal: 40 x 500, $20,000. (Note: To sponsor a student, donations can be given as a single payment or monthly amount of $42.)
Please note: For each person who sponsors a student, we will provide you with a picture and bio of your student as well as regular updates.
WFCF: Our mission is to help needy children by providing resources to their schools, and offering them an education that can break the cycle of poverty in their lives. WFCF currently supports three schools in Nairobi Kenya grades K-8 as well as students in India.
Alexander Krumm High School Sponsorship Fund. (aka Sasha Fund)
Background:
Since 2017, WFCF has continued to successfully focus on kindergarten through eighth-grade education in the settlements of Nairobi, Kenya and in India. Literally thousands of young people living in very poor conditions have had an opportunity to achieve academic success through the eighth grade. Additionally, these students have been provided with daily meals and rudimentary medical support. Now is the time to take the next step.
We are establishing the Alexander Krumm High School Sponsorship Fund recognizing that many of our current students do not have the means to attend high schools (boarding schools) of Nairobi. While we stay focused on K-8, we now endeavor to help students achieve a high school education and move to the next level of ending poverty.
