Our Mio, MI radio station tower lease renews on September 1, 2024, and Strong Tower Radio is in need of $20,035 for rent. We are asking for donations of any size to help us reach our goal. Mio is located in the northeastern corner of Michigan's lower peninsula. This station reaches the counties of Crawford, Otsego, Oscoda, Montmorency, and parts of the surrounding counties, including Cheboygan, Kalkaska, and Charlevoix.

STR has been in negotiations with the tower owners for over a year. The cost of our rent has doubled. There are no other tower options in the area that will maintain our current coverage. The FCC is allowing us to run at reduced power to help with our operating costs. The amount owed will clear our debt to the tower owner.

Strong Tower Radio currently manages 15 Christian radio stations across the state of Michigan with approval from the FCC to establish eight more for a total of 23 stations. One of those stations will be located in Port Sanilac Michigan where I am pastoring.

Through generous donors like yourself, the Lord has helped us raise over $102,000 in donations and monthly pledges to support this radio project in Port Sanilac Michigan. These funds will take care of the setup costs as well as 5 years of the monthly operating expenses for the station.

Strong Tower Radio is based in Cadillac Michigan and employs six full time staff members developing fresh content for the stations across the state.

We currently have all the approvals necessary at this stage and have secured a rented tower and antenna. Our plans are to break ground starting in March and we hope to be on the air by June or July of 2024.

Port Sanilac is located in what is known as the Thumb of Michigan and is adjacent to Lake Huron. In the map below the Port Sanilac station is the one with an orange circle.
