WestCare

Sean Higgins was a beloved husband, father, brother, friend and member of the Las Vegas community. He tragically passed away on September 23, 2020. 

Born and raised in Las Vegas, he was dedicated to improving his community. In his memory, his family and friends have decided to raise money for WestCare Nevada. 

WestCare empowers everyone with whom they come into contact to engage in a process of healing, growth and change benefiting themselves, their families, coworkers and communities.

On June 17, 2016 my grandmother, Barbara Mulholland passed away. She was the Senior Vice President of Community Affairs at Citibank, or as she liked to say, "I give away the bank's money." Under her leadership Citibank's philanthropy supported many diverse organizations including Communities in Schools, Nevada Ballet, Three Square, After-School All Stars and many others. With her tireless dedication, came training and expertise focused on transparency, efficiency and accountability.

One of the causes closest to her heart was WestCare Foundation's Women and Children's Campus, where programs and services across the continuum of health and human services are offered to improve the lives of vulnerable women and children. With her help, in 2016 they celebrated the largest grant the facility has ever received, and as a result more women and children's lives will be touched, changed and saved.

In honor of my 25th birthday, I aim to raise $2500 for WestCare to honor my grandmother and to help Las Vegas' most marginalized and at risk women and children. Your donation will be sent directly to WestCare via GoFundMe.
