Wind River Dojo

Wind River Dojo is a nonprofit martial arts academy that teaches primarily Judo and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. We currently offer free classes for children, teens, and adults in our community. We have recently been forced to move facilities. In order to continue free/low cost classes we will need funds to help cover newly incurred operational costs.

We have been able to offer free classes up to this point thanks to the generosity of our instructors (who volunteer their time to teach), the generosity of the National Guard (offering us a free facility), the generosity of our members through donations, and local grants to purchase mats and supplies. As we move forward and continue to grow, we need to find a permanent space that we can rely on being in for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately, commercial space like this is not free and requires us to incur the added expenses of monthly rent and utilities. In addition, we will need to devote significant funds to renovating this new space in order to fit our needs.

The funds from this fundraiser will be used in conjunction with any grants we are able to obtain specifically to cover rent & utilities, renovate & improve the facility, and cover maintenance costs. The fundraiser will help ensure these added costs do not get passed down to our students and we can continue offering free/low cost instruction for our community.

$300 Monthly Utilities

$15,000 Renovation Phase 1 (demolition and reframing of walls, installation of spring floor for mats, etc.)
