Working Wheels

We are raising funds to purchase dependable used cars for people who lost their vehicle in the flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. Many people in our community lost everything and are trying to rebuild their lives.

Working Wheels is a nonprofit organization that has been operating in Western North Carolina for 10 years and has provided more than 300 dependable vehicles for families in need. Normally, we depend on donated vehicles to fulfill our mission; however, much of our inventory was ruined by the flood, crippling our ability to help at a time when people need us more than ever.

Hello, my name is Tracy and I am a Population Health Nurse from Ohio trying to raise donations for those whose lives have been affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina.

As you know, many have lost everything, including their means of transportation. A reliable vehicle can assist individuals with access to jobs, supplies/food, medical care, education, and for some...shelter during this crisis. Therefore, I contacted Mr. Jamie Beasley, Director of Working Wheels in Asheboro, North Carolina, expressing the desire to assist them in their relief efforts. Mr. Beasley was humbly grateful and shared the mission and processes used by their organization to provide individuals and families with reliable transportation. All donations go directly to assisting Hurricane Helene survivors and those desperately needing transportation. Please consider joining me in this relief effort and in bringing hope to the families of Western North Carolina.
