Siafu Women's Retreat: Stronger Together
“I’m not sure how much more I can give. The constant battle of balancing multiple jobs, crime in my neighborhood, unhealthy social and lawful conditions, untreated trauma, dealing with family division, financial issues...how do I stay true to my calling when I’m feeling exhausted and, embarrassingly, feeling disconnected from God?”
Many stories like this one are difficult to hear yet it could gently draw us into the radical work of the gospel’s spiritual-wellness. Because it is there that we are reminded “we can’t give” without Jesus’ vibrant life-giving work and good portions filling our spirit. "We can’t give” without allowing space for God to search our interior lives for ongoing transformation. “We can’t give” without having Christ live, move, and have our being within us (Acts 17:28).
THIS IS WHY we are asking for helpers like you to invest in our urban apostles, prophets, evangelists, shepherds, and teachers (Eph. 4:11). WE WANT TO INVITE YOU to make a difference in the lives of our sisters by raising funds for the WEST COAST SIAFU WOMEN’S RETREAT with our theme being, “Stronger Together” in God’s Spirit (Acts 2)!
Already, we are looking forward to having well over 100 women attending! Our goal is $15,000 and our desire is to raise all the funds by October 4th so we can be better prepared for the retreat on October 25th - 27th! The financial gift will care for our worship minister, reduce accommodation costs, speakers, translators, books, partial grants for those who are suffering this season from financial strain, etc.
JOIN THE KINGDOM-WORK of GOD by fostering our sisters' ongoing devotion to the Lord so that they are strong witnesses for their community and our cities at large (Mt. 22:36-40)!
