Feeding local families AND supporting local farms
**UPDATE #2: Thank you all so much for your overwhelming generosity! In less than 2 days, we have raised $10,000, which is double our original goal. This fundraiser was shared more than 1,000 times, and we have had more than 150 unique donors. Every dollar beyond our goal of $5,000 will go to supporting the organizations that are working tirelessly to feed our community members in need. We don't know when this hardship will end, so we ask you to continue sharing and donating. We are all in this together.**
**UPDATE #1: We have reached our $5,000 goal in only 7 hours!! Thank you so much to everyone who donated and shared. Please do continue to contribute as we may have a long road ahead and many of the 6,000 students in the Kingston City School district, plus their families, will need food support in the coming weeks and maybe months. Money raised above our goal will go to local support organizations to feed those in need. Your generosity is having a double impact as it helps feed our community members AND helps farmers through this hard time. Thank you!!**
With schools closed for at least the next two weeks and many people working less or not at all, we need to ensure that all of our community has access to healthy food. Family of Woodstock and People's Place will be preparing hot meals and bagged meals for children and families. This fundraiser will purchase produce from local farms to be included in hot meals and bagged meals for distribution in and around Kingston.
We want to support local farms because they are an important part of our local economy and community. Due to the cancellation of the Kingston Winter Farmer's Market, they have vegetables they were expecting to harvest and sell.
A group of volunteers and organizations is working together to ensure that children and families are fed well during this time.
Please consider any amount of donation to support this community wide effort.
If you need food or know someone who does, please call Family's 24 hour hotline at [phone redacted]. You can text from 5am - 1am.

Family of Woodstock and People's Place estará preparando comidas calientes y comidas embolsadas para niños y familias.
