Support Yoga Health Institute Corporation: Make a Difference Today
At Yoga Health Institute Corporation, we are dedicated to uplifting yoga instructors and the broader community through evidence-based yoga practices that soothe the nervous system, heal the body, and focus the mind.
Our journey began in 2001, when our founder was completing his capstone course in entrepreneurship at UNT. He envisioned creating a company that would support those affected by the 9/11 tragedy in NYC. Partnering with The American Red Cross, the business donated a portion of its profits to their relief fund, earning our founder a "Hero of the Day" certificate in 2002.
In 2005, our founder turned to yoga for healing, and by 2007, he began teaching it. He opened his first yoga studio in 2011 and has since taught over 24,000 hours to thousands of individuals from all walks of life—children, professionals, physicians, nurses, and corporate executives. He has also trained and certified numerous yoga teachers.
In October 2019, a devastating tornado struck Preston Hollow in Dallas, TX. In response, our founder, Ricky Tran, assembled a team of yoga teachers to volunteer at an elementary school that had been directly impacted. The profound positive effect of their work inspired Ricky to create an organization capable of extending this healing touch to multiple school districts, hospitals, clinics, and corporations.
Our mission is to support those who serve others—teachers, staff, nurses, doctors, corporate leaders, and anyone in need of the transformative benefits of true yoga. We will begin by training and certifying yoga teachers under the guidance of master practitioner and teacher, Ricky Tran, ensuring that the highest standards of practice and knowledge are upheld.
Looking ahead, we plan to expand into a full-time yoga school and job opportunity center. To achieve this, we need to build a dedicated team, including professionals in fundraising, marketing, administration, and management. Our next steps involve securing our own space—either leased or purchased—where we can offer ongoing classes, trainings, and foster a thriving community, while managing relationships within our growing network.
