Charles Edwards Rehabilitation
Donation protected
At 3 am on Sunday the 30th July 17, Charles Edwards' Parents received the phone call that is every parent's worst nightmare.
Their loving 21-year-old son Charles, had fallen from a height and was being flown by helicopter to the Alfred Hospital Trauma Centre, where he was placed in an induced coma with severe head injuries and fighting for his life.
Needless to say, their lives have been put on hold as they stay by Charles’ side, medical expenses will be an ongoing strain, compounded by their additional loss of income from not being able to work through this period.
Thankfully the amazing care received by the wonderful ICU staff and many prayers from all who know Charles has helped and six days later Charles has been taken out of the induced coma and is showing positive signs of improvement. There will be, however, a long road ahead for Charles’ rehabilitation and subsequent ongoing care and cost. Any donations would be a blessing and greatly appreciated for Charles and his family as they deal with their immediate medical expenses and the long road ahead for Charles' rehabilitation.
