Greetings Once Again Chazzz Fanzzz :)
On Sunday March 9, 2014 at approxiamately 7:30pm Chaz Baldwin was critically injured in a motocycle accident suffering a Traumatic Brain Injury, broken bones in his left leg, forearm, wrist, and hands along with a torn aorta. He was in a medically induced coma for months, was in two hospitals in ICU and then a rehab center in Santa Clara, CA.
My name is Tammy Luke and my son and daughter grew up with Chaz their whole life and I have always been like his second Mom according to him, and a couple of things about Chaz (aka Superman as we like to call him) I think you should know. Chaz is known for his sincere generosity, witty humor and always living each and every day to its fullest...literally!! For awhile his long term prognosis was uncertain and his recovery has been to say the least a slow and many times painful process. Chaz has always and still is a fighter no matter what challenges he faces in life. His shear determination, consistency, and will to recover are a force to be reconded with! Chaz's drive to get back as close to what he was before his accident is impecable to say the least.
Chaz walks, rides his bike and works out at the gym on a daily basis ever since he was able to get out of his wheel chair (which he hated), but has come to a plateau in his recovery doing all that he can do on his own and now needs the exstensive medical therapy to help him break through to the other side.
Chaz needs a treatment called "Regenerative Therapy" which was specifically designed by a NeuroSurgeon Dr. John Hughes in Colorado. This treatment includes the following:
Hyperbaric Oxygen - 100% oxygen at increased pressures improving the growth of blood vessels by 10-15 times the bodies normal supply, causing inflammed tissue to decrease and improving stem cell tissue growth.
Brain PRP - Platelette Rich Plasma helps guide the new stem cells to the appropriate areas of the brain helping with memory loss and improves the brains collagen.
Crainial Therapy - This stimulation helps the cerebral spinal fluid build up the cusions and surrounds the brain for protection.
IV Nutrition - This specific nutrition helps the neuroreseptors to restart and is not found in food.
Ketogenic Diet - This diet is strictly followed throughout the treatment giving the brain GABA which helps the brain to relax. It also improves antioxidant properties so the brain is less reactive to inflammation and stress.
MCT Oil - Refined coconut oil that stabilizes moods, improves stress, and significantly decreases the inflammation already around the brain due to the accident.
My goal is to raise the $15,000 needed for this specific treatment so Chaz can attend with the Hope of knowing that others who don't even know him care enough to give, as much as as those who already know and adore him will. Chaz is also a new father to a beautiful baby girl named "Saphira" and she is going to need her daddy to be the best he can be.
So Please take a minute STOP what you're doing and think about how you would feel if you were Chaz and then give generously to helping his recovery. Never underestimate the power of one act of kindness....it can change a life!!!
