Viktoriya's Fight Against Cancer.

On March 10th Viktoriya began exhibiting troublesome behavior, heavily favoring her left side. Prompted by her pediatrician’s recommendation, she was rushed to the hospital and an EEG was performed. The EEG uncovered reoccurring subclinical seizures, which could only be perceive via the EEG. Viktoriya was brought in for an MRI the following day and the results were dubious. The MRI uncovered an egg sized tumor buffered against her brain by 2 cysts. Viktoriya was immediately scheduled for surgery on the 14th, prior to the procedure another MRI was performed showing the tumor rapidly grew within a mere 48 hours. The surgeon successfully removed a large portion of the tumor and sent it off for pathology, results were expected in 7-10 days. Nine agonizing days pass by with no word regarding the lab results, Viktoriya’s follow-up appointment was March 23rd. On the day of her follow-up, this family received devastating news – Their sweet little girl has Stage 4 Malignant Glioblastoma Multiforme. Given her tender age, Viktoriya’s family was advised there wasn’t much they could for her – radiation would require her to be asleep and such harsh treatment would certainly deter healthy development. A reality no loved one should ever have to accept, especially not for an innocent child.
Viktoriya is curious, bubbly, 2 year old. She has 2 brothers and a sister with another on the way. Viktoriya has brought so much love and joy into her parents Taras & Jessica Lipskiy lives. And they are willing to do everything it takes for their sweet babygirl. There are numerous places and different treatments throughout the US and beyond who specialize in treating Glioblastomas.
Prayers and suggestions are always welcomed and very much apprecitated at all times.
