Chicago Global City: the Podcast
Donation protected
Chicago Global City (the blog) focuses on urban planning, green development, sustainability, neighborhood revitalization, and environmental justice -- as well as architecture and policy relating to the arts and popular culture. I believe that quality of life encompasses both basic necessities and so-called luxuries such as culture and beauty. My newly-launched blog and the podcast I hope to create will reflect this position.
Who I Am
I am an African American writer and researcher based in the greater Chicago area. I hold advanced degrees in sociology and law from Northwestern University. My work has been published in Chicago Architect , Transitions Abroad and Next City .
What I Need
I am asking for $500 to help me jump start the creation and maintenance of the podcast, including purchasing podcasting equipment and obtaining training in podcast production. Any funds raised over and above the goal will go toward costs associated with producing the blog and the podcast.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you can't contribute financially, you can still help by promoting the blog. Please also share this campaign with family, friends and colleagues who may be inclined to help fund this project by word of mouth or via social media. That would be a huge boost to the campaign and MUCH appreciated!
