Chintsa Dogs
Donation protected
I am hoping to raise money for the dogs in Chintsa township, in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. These dogs often have no access to veterinary treatment.
I am a qualified veterinary nurse from the UK, and I first got introduced to these dogs two years ago when I volunteered with the Safari4u Veterinary Programme in Chintsa. The programme offers basic care to the dogs, such as de-wormimg and dipping.
The money raised will go towards neutering the many dogs in the township. Neutering will help to control the dog population and also help to prevent the spread of diseases, as well as preventing fighting amongst the dogs. Many of the dogs have litter after litter, despite struggling to find enough food for themselves.
Money raised will also go towards basic veterinary care, and will help to ease the suffering of sick dogs where possible.
One spay or castration costs R650 (Around £40 or $50).
These dogs have become very close to my heart over the last two years, and despite there being so many I know most of them by name!
Please donate whatever you can or share my post to help my litle friends in the township live happier, healthier lives.
