Multiple Sclerosis support
After climbing trees and impressive physical labor his whole life, Chris has learned of a life altering diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis.
Lymes disease this past March with complications of Bells Palsy slowed him down a bit, but he got through it. Four months later, Chris went in to an eye appointment for a chemical burn, and it quickly changed to being sent to Tufts Medical Center the following day when his left eye sight failed. He was admitted to the hospital for a week with extensive testing, MRI's, spinal taps and lab work. This is what lead to the diagnosis. They believe has been around for a couple of years undiagnosed.
Insurance only covers so much financially. Traveling to Boston daily for steroid infusions and consultations with MS teams are expensive, emotionally draining and very time consuming.
His inner strength, and support from loved ones is what he has to cling on to.
We need help and very much appreciate any and all support through this difficult time transitioning into a new lifestyle of managing MS.
